Love Festival for Developmental Disabilities
A timely and unique celebration
Held every year since 2000 as “Festival” of disabilities’ creativity and co-creation, the developmental disabilities’ LOVE Festival has evolved into the largest Korean American children’s celebration and a permanent quadrennial event in out Nation’s Capital. The LOVE Festival pulls together America’s diverse communities around their shared concern for children, their health, and creative education. Open to the public, the LOVE Festival attracts more than 1,500 attendees.
This year, we are holding the 32nd LOVE Festival on April 28th, 2018, at Whittier Narrows Park from 10:30am to 2:30pm. We need 100+ volunteers to help all attendees to have fun at the event! Low Income Fare is Easy (LIFE) Transportation Program D/C Coupon Distribute
LIFE program, formerly known as RRTP, provides transportation assistance to the most economically vulnerable and transit dependent, who are seniors, low income family, students, and disabilities, in Los Angeles County. Happy Village distributes a packet of 6 months coupons twice a year.
The Low Income Fare is Easy (LIFE) Program provides fare subsidy coupons to Metro and other participating operators’ bus riders. The service is made available throughout Los Angeles County via a wide range of not-for-profit and government agencies that distribute subsidy coupons to the neediest segment of the population.
Volunteers are Needed! We are expecting a massive distribution for July-December Coupon in Mid June 2018. We provide free Lunch. Please contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org for further details. We will announce the exact dates when settled.
‘Love Share Bazaar’ is hosted by Korea daily, KAVC, and Joins America, and is a public service that supports Homeless community with the entire raised fund through Bazaar. We achieved results of more than 5,000 people participating and raised more than $30,000.
Jackets for Homeless People
Happy Village distributed jackets to homeless from 2006, as Open Bank involved in 2013 with “Christmas LOVE YOUR NEIGHBOR PROJECT”. We annually helped and supported unprivileged and homeless community, with 3,000 jackets for homeless people. Every year, 40 to 50 churches, individuals, and organizations participate.
