2024 The 37th KIMBO Scholarship
- Date: 4/26/24(Friday) ~ 6/28/24(Friday)
- Selects 212 students (nationwide)
- Scholarship : $2,500 / per student
- Awards Total : $530,000.00
- Los Angeles 110 students / New York 20 students / Atlanta 25 students / San Francisco 17 students /
Washington D.C 15 students / Chicago 10 students / Denver 5 students / Hispanic & African Americans 5 students each
- Announcement Date: Friday, July 26, 2024
- Awards Ceremony : Friday, August 2, 2024
- Qualification: 2024 fall college entering students or college entered student
Students should apply to certain area of Korea Daily where the college they are currently attending,
2024 fall college entering students should apply to the area that the high school is located.
* Past KIMBO Scholarship recipient and graduate school students do not have qualification.
- Documents for Submission:
- 1) Application
- 2) Self-Introduction Essay ( My Dream or My Vision )
- 3) Letter of Recommendation (Professor, Teacher, clergy, etc) – possible to send e-mail
- 4) Official academic transcript (Should be sealed and mailed to us directly from school)
- 5) 2018 Parents Tax Report
- 6) Community Volunteer & Internship List (attach evident material)
- 7) Any award winning carrier List (attach evident material)
- 8) 2019 High school graduating students must attach College Admission letter
* Official Transcript and Recommendation letter can be sent separately by e-mail
but should arrive to Korea Daily before the end date
* All the other Documents should be submitted by mail (not e-mail)

2024년 킴보장학생 선발 안내 사항 입니다
신청서 배부 및 접수: 4/26/24(금) ~ 6/28/24(금)
총 212명 선발 (총 53만불 장학금 수여)

LA 110명 / 뉴욕 20명 / 아틀란타 25명 / 샌프란시스코 17명 / 시카고 10명 /
워싱턴 D.C 15명 / 덴버 5명 / 히스패닉과 흑인 커뮤니티 각 5명씩
- 장학금: $2,500 /1인당
- 서류 접수 마감: 2024년 6월 28일(금)
- 장학생 발표: 2024년7월26일(금) – 중앙일보 지면 및 웹사이트 참조
- 장학금 수여식 예정: 2024년8월2일(금)
- 지원자격: 2024년 가을 대학입학 예정자 또는 대학 재학생
(대학 재학생은 현재 다니고 있는 학교를 기준으로 해당지역에 지원해야 하며,
2024년 대학입학 예정자는 현재 재학중인 하이스쿨이 있는 해당지역에 지원해야 합니다.)
- 이전 킴보 장학금 수혜자 및 대학원생은 신청 자격이 없습니다.
< 제출서류 >
- 1) 소정 양식의 신청서
- 2) 영문으로 된 자기 소개 에세이 (제목: My Dream or My Vision)
- 3) 추천서 (지도교수, 교사, 성직자, 단체장 등) – 이멜로도 접수 가능
- 4) Official 성적증명서 1부 – 학교에서 이멜 발송 가능
- 5) 2023년도 부모 세금 보고서 사본 1부 (전체 페이지 Copy )
- 6) 커뮤니티 봉사활동 및 인턴 내역 리스트 (별지에 리스트를 작성하고 근거자료 사본 첨부)
- 7) 각종 수상경력 리스트 (근거자료 사본 첨부)
- 8) 2024년 하이스쿨 졸업 예정자는 College Admission Letter를 꼭 첨부 해야 함
* 성적 증명서와 추천서는 따로 메일로 보내셔도 되며, 마감일까지 모든 서류가
해당 지역에 도착해야 합니다.
* 추천서와 성적표를 제외한 모든 제출 서류는 반드시 우편으로 보내셔야 하며,
6월28일까지 도착해야 합니다
(이메일 접수는 받지 않으며 서류를 해당 지역에 직접 갖다 제출하셔도 됩니다 )
